UMP TZU CHING CAMP 2017: LET US SPREAD OUR LOVE
February 25, 2017, Kuantan - UMP TZU CHING CAMP 2017: LET US SPREAD OUR LOVE PROGRAM was aimed at nurturing students who are caring, loving, compassionate, helpful to one another and nature-loving. As a result, many disciplinary problems among young people can be reduced while students participate in beneficial activities during their free time.
This program introduced students to the Tzu Chi Buddha Foundation and the Tzu Chi Collegiate Society (Tzu Ching). At the same time, it also exposed students to recycling program and its benefits. Through this program, students learnt how to separate the recyclable materials from the non-recyclable materials. Indirectly, the program cultivated love towards the environment among the participants.
In addition to that, such community service activity would produce caring and loving students. The program involved group activity in which students were brought to visit the needy and provided assistance to them. Through this program, students would feel grateful to be able to live in comfortable environment compared to those living in poverty.
Before the program ended, the students were given the opportunity in a special session to share their feelings and experiences gained throughout the program. Last but not least, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to the parties who were directly and indirectly involved such as the UMP Student Affairs and Alumni Department (SAFFAD), the Student Representatives Council or Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP), and the Tzu Chi Youth Foundation for their support in organizing the community service program.
It is hoped that such programs can be held again in the future.
